The Parlem Group approves the purchase of three local tele-operators by value maximum of 10.5M euros in an operation that represents one more step in consolidation inside the catalan market and allowing greater insertion into the territory to give a service that is closest to our customers. In the financial field, the three acquisitions give us a greater capacity to generate profits – they improve EBITDA-, no debt contribution. This forecast of improvement will allow us to work on a new Strategic Plan 2023-25, which we will present during the first semester of next year. Until the publication of the new roadmap. We will focus on the integration of the three acquired companies, performing synergies and seeking operational excellence.

These new acquisitions will bring to Group 7,600 new fibre customers, 10,200 mobile and 2,300 Wimax, as well as more than 48,000 new units fibre wired real estates and an increase in revenue for 2023 of 5.5M euros in sales and 1.5M euros of EBITDA. The sum of all data reaffirm the leadership of Parlem as an catalan operator and improve the financial size of the group.

The three acquired local teleoperators are Xartic, Olot, Wicat, Pallars, and the Valencian Fibrotel, which will be incorporated into the subsidiary Aproop. Parlem has naturally grown in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, with three new acquisitions we managed to increase market share in Girona, in Pallars and in the Valencian Community. Xartic, founded by Joan Bramon, president of the Catalan Telecommunications Business Federation (Feceminte), gives service in the counties of La Garrotxa, Alt Empordà, Ripollès and Cerdanya, while Wicat covers the Alt Pirineu and Fibrotel area, the comarca of the Ribera Alta in the Valencian Community.

Project concentration

In all three cases, the current management teams will continue to develop their role within the Parlem Group. In this way, we want to be the shaft of the telecommunications industry in Catalonia and be the lead in a natural concentration of projects, as demonstrated by these operations that are added to the group in order to reach the whole country.

Besides, this Thursday, 15 December, the General Board Extraordinary shareholders have approved several capital expansions by compensation for credits from previous transactions and formalisation of convertible contracts.
