Next week, we will be present at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), where we will present our commitment to innovation and new technologies while supporting the territory and emerging companies. For that reason, on our stand, we will show an Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform that detects emotions, a Wi-Fi interconnection device that facilitates access to products and services, and the pilot test we conducted on safe autonomous driving. The first two cases are technologies developed by two of the start-ups that Parlem Ventures recognized in the calls organized last year. The driverless mobility test is the second use case led by Parlem Telecom within the Pilot 5G Catalunya project.
With the slogan “Discover your emotion”, visitors to the stand will see our advertisements, and through a facial recognition platform based on an AI technology developed by the company Get Feeder, we will capture their metrics and be able to determine which reactions were generated by the ads. This information management tool monitors, analyses, and visually displays the key indicators of data that translates into qualitative emotion-based analyses, which show viewers feelings and reactions.

WiFi without password

As part of our commitment to the local business ecosystem, we will showcase Wipass technology at the Mobile World Congress. Wipass is a start-up and one of the winners of the second call for Parlem Ventures. Their interconnection device acts as an automatic gateway to WiFi, eliminating the need to enter a password. Users can connect to available services by simply bringing their device closer to the device.
Additionally, we will demonstrate a simulation on safe autonomous driving that we pioneered in the 5G Catalonia Pilot. This is made possible through image recognition applications utilizing Artificial Intelligence, which provides reliable information in real time with high-quality images to the vehicle. The technology allows the vehicle to detect obstacles and react accordingly before encountering any risk on its route. During the MWC, we will display the technology using an electric scooter.
