Parlem Ventures, the start-up accelerator in the technology sector for Parlem Telecom and Inveready has closed the second annual call, in which it has selected 14 entrepreneurship projects from among the 40 proposals postulated to participate. The initiative, which has the collaboration of Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Mobile World Capital Barcelona, the Government of Catalonia and the i2CAT Foundation, wants to promote start-ups from Catalonia, Valencian Community and Balearics Island that are in seed stage. This call emphasises stakes to female talent, as there are 4 companies selected with women in their founding team.

The various entrepreneurship program partners have selected in this one second call for business initiatives that most closely match Parlem Ventures objectives, which seek start-ups capable of offering solutions innovative technology in the B2B market (business-to-business). The proposals chosen in this phase include Astronnaut, Gretel, Okify, Opground, Sense, Welme App, Soof, Numen Technologies, VisualifeAR, Dustbuster, Wipass, Tracks CO2, Biwel and Kokuai. The last four companies on this list have women entrepreneurs.

In the next few weeks, the managers of the 14 selected projects they will participate in six workshops where topics such as the model of business, go to market strategy, fundraising, the founder’s playbook, etc., that they will conclude with the celebration of a pitch day on 16 December, in which all proposals will be presented to a committee, which will choose the 3 start-ups that won this second call.

Parlem has tenets to evaluate in the selection of the 3 winning projects; it will be the strategic fitting of start-ups to Parlem, as one of the added values to participate in the program is to become a contributor to the operator of catalan telecommunications. In this sense, it is also envisaged Parlem Telecom and Inveready invest in winning projects. Specifically, each project will be eligible to receive up to 50k euros from the telecommunications operator and 50k euros from the Risk Capital manager.

The 14 projects selected in this second call are:

Astronnaut: New Web3 Dropbox, user controls data and keys
access and information are stored in a decentralised mode.

Wipass: It creates Phygital experiences by turning businesses into Smart Business.

Gretel: He is the first digital assistant for AI-based marketing teams providing alerts and recommendations proactively to take fast and shocking data-based decisions.

Okify: A platform that allows you to register and manage all services of the home.

Opground: Connect companies and professionals based on the same information that people do with first interviews, in less than five minutes.

Sense: An application that allows you to save and centralise all products that
you see and like it from any store (online or physics) in one place. The branding makes omnicanal technology accessible.

Welme App: A streaming platform in VR that converts the times of consumption of content into unforgettable experiences.

Soof: An all-in-one service platform for a photovoltaic solar installation.

CO2 Tracks: SaaS (Software as a Service) to help SMEs calculate, reduce and compensate for CO2 emissions from certified projects with satellite data, AI/ML.

Numen Technologies: It aims to develop an ecosystem of solutions of confident and accessible cybersecurity in terms of both investment and skills technology required to implement them.

Biwel: Specialists in Promoting Work Welfare Culture to Improve employee experience through 360o welfare.

Kokuai: SaaS platform that allows companies to connect to his customers through his favourite channel.

VisualifeAR: Help companies generate customer engagement by creating experiences in Augmented Reality.

Dustbuster: The NFTs wallapop.

In the first call of Parlem Ventures, which took place during the first half of 2022, Alta start-ups were recognized Guardia, Feeder and Silt among the 12 companies that had previously been selected.
